Our offerings cater to a variety of sizes, starting from 1.05 metres and extending up to 2.4 metres for fencing applications. We also handle longer lengths of 3.0m, 3.6m, and 4.8m, primarily used for cladding buildings.
We typically work with boards of 150mm width, but we are also equipped to install 1.2m, 1.65m, and 1.8m boards at 125mm width. When crafting fences, we usually allow a 25mm overlap. Hence, you can anticipate approximately 10 boards per metre for 125mm featheredge slats and about 8 to the metre for 150mm.
Enhance the appeal of your fence with our featheredge capping installation service. We work with stock lengths of 3.6 metres in either rebated or flat-bottomed profiles. Both these profiles are made from kiln-dried redwood timber, minimizing the chances of warping or splitting.
To further boost your fence's durability and aesthetics, consider our sawn timber gravel board installation service. This feature not only adds visual interest but also protects the vertical slats from absorbing too much moisture from the ground.
Driven by customer demand, we offer installation of thicker and wider 175mm featheredge at 4.8 metres, mainly for cladding larger agricultural buildings. We can also arrange for other specific featheredge timbers to be machined to order, though smaller order runs may be subject to higher costs.
