No, it offers excellent slip resistance. Millboard decking is manufactured with a unique Lastane® surface layer that provides a high level of grip, even in wet and frosty conditions. It consistently achieves one of the highest slip-resistance ratings available.
Millboard has excellent colour stability. The boards are hand-coloured with UV-resistant pigments, so they are designed to resist fading and will retain their beautiful, weathered appearance for many years with minimal change.
Virtually none. Millboard is designed to be a low-maintenance decking solution. It never needs sanding, staining, or sealing. All it requires is a simple clean with soap and water or a light pressure wash to keep it looking its best.
The non-porous surface is highly resistant to stains from food and drink spills. Most spills can simply be wiped away. For tougher marks, a little soapy water and a soft brush are usually all that’s needed.
The non-porous surface inhibits the growth of algae and moss. While surface debris might allow some growth over time in shaded, damp areas, it cannot embed itself in the board and is easily cleaned off.
Millboard decking is installed onto a robust subframe. A unique feature is its 'lost-head' Durafix® screws, which are inserted at an angle through the side of the board. The flexible Lastane® surface then self-heals over the screw head, creating a flawless, screw-free finish.
