Gravel Chippings Before & Afters

This Tintagel garden was finished with Blue Slate Chippings, creating a neat surround around the decking and property while making the space much easier to maintain. A geotextile weed membrane was laid across the area before the slate chippings were added, helping to keep unwanted growth under control and providing a practical base. The rich tones of the Blue Slate add contrast against the decking and greenery, giving the garden a simple, well-defined finish.

This Cullompton driveway was finished with Golden Flint Gravel, bringing a warmer, more natural look to the front of the property. The existing area was excavated and prepared before new brick and perimeter edging were installed, creating a defined border and helping to keep the gravel neatly contained. The Golden Flint Gravel was then spread across the prepared driveway, creating an attractive, hard-wearing surface with plenty of character.

We’ve just finished transforming this outdoor space with sandstone paving, grey granite gravel, and fresh turf - creating a stylish, functional, and low-maintenance garden area.

Our team carefully prepared the site by:

Excavating and grading the lawn to remove undulations
Installing a compacted hardcore sub-base and geotextile membrane
Replacing recessed manhole covers and adding drainage where needed
Installing fresh topsoil and turf for a pristine finish

Finally, their chosen sandstone paving was expertly laid with professional jointing, and grey granite gravel added outside the shed doors for a neat, cohesive finish.

The result? A garden that’s beautiful, practical, and ready to enjoy all year round.
